Maserati Biturbos

Maserati made some very nice wedge-shaped cars in the 80s. Reliability would be the main problem these days. What I like about them apart from the styling is the quality of the interiors

The BiTurbo came out in 1983. It was capable of 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. The 1984 Spyder is the optimum model, which cost £10,000 more than the top of the range BMW 325i convertible when it came out. It was 4 inches shorter than the Coupe. It had an ashtray with lighter as well as a roll-top cigarette box!

Then in 1988 the Spyder spawned a Coupe again, in the form of the Karif [pictured middle, above]. Maserati claimed this beast was capable of 60 mph in 4.8 seconds
